The Licensed Mental Health Professional will join an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team, providing comprehensive care to homeless and subway-dwelling individuals in the community.
- Work involves street outreach, coordinating needs before and after housing, enhancing daily living skills, offering supportive counseling, and advocating against discrimination and healthcare inequities.
- The team follows a person-centered, harm reduction approach, supporting participants for months post-housing to ensure stability and independence.
- This field-based role requires flexible hours, periodic on-call work, and travel across Chenango, Broome, and Otsego counties.
- Minimum qualifications include a licensed master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology; MSW candidates with licensure plans are considered.
