Overview

A leading national law and lobbying firm with over five decades of success is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Albuquerque office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative Litigation Practice Group. Position Summary

The Litigation Paralegal will provide critical support to attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment, performing a blend of paralegal and administrative duties. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, flexible with shifting priorities, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Ideal candidates will bring a high level of professionalism, maturity, and strong communication skills to support the firm's high-stakes litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence
  • Docket and manage case deadlines across multiple jurisdictions
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and internal teams
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, meetings, mediations/arbitrations, and trials
  • Assist with deposition prep and document management for discovery responses
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation, including document productions and exhibit management
  • Maintain electronic case files and ensure accurate records within the firm's case management system
  • Handle general administrative tasks including correspondence and calendaring

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm environment
  • Proven trial preparation and trial attendance experience
  • Strong understanding of court rules, e-filing procedures, and jurisdiction-specific formatting requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with precision and attention to deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary

Preferred

  • Experience with Relativity or similar e-discovery platforms, including use of technology-assisted review and predictive coding
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
