Sunbelt Supply is a subsidiary of FloWorks International LLC, which is a privately held company located in Pasadena, Texas.

The Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by loading, unloading, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine or manual machines. Operators will be expected to maintain quality and safety standards, keep accurate records, and maintain equipment and supplies.

Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...

• Fabricate parts by setting up and operating conventional or computer-controlled machine tools (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, cnc, waterjet).
• Review blueprints, specifications, or models of parts to be made and determine work procedures, stock and machine tools to use to fabricate parts.
• Check finished products to ensure specifications are met.
• Work closely with supervision and fellow employees to uncover and implement safety, quality, and productivity.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and report any hazards that may compromise a safe workplace.
• Able to detect and diagnose machine malfunctions and make necessary adjustments or repairs
• Conduct and record maintenance on the machine(s)
• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
  
  

A must…

• 2-3 years experience machining.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Basic math and mechanical understanding
• Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goal
• A proven machinist background in manufacturing or a similar environment.
• Machinist Experience, Strong Manual lathes and mills, Waterjet, CNC a plus
  
  

Environmental Job Requirements …

• Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.
• Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (40-50 pounds).
• Must be able to bend, squat and complete tasks on the floor
• Typically requires overnight travel more than 10% of the time.
• Must be able to be on call at times and work overtime when needed.
