This position reports to

Engineering & Maintenance Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Primarily focused on improvement of equipment uptime and developing and maintaining the preventative/predictive maintenance directive. You’ll perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment problems.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Maintain training matrix to keep the maintenance technician skill levels where they need to be and provide technical support for the technicians on challenging problems.
  • Verify safety and maintainability of new equipment prior to installation including LOTO procedures, Arc Flash assessments, adding equipment to the system, selection of spare parts and creation of OPM/PM/Pd.M. task/schedules.
  • Perform complex technical tasks and analysis of automated machinery and control systems including FMEA and RCFA.
  • Troubleshoot, recommend and assist with repairs on production equipment including control systems and networking of automated machines

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years experience OR Associate’s Degree with minimum 4 years experience OR High School Diploma with minimum 6 years experience.
  • Preferred Experience Includes:
  • PLC’s, control logic, troubleshooting and repairs of automated equipment in a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of industrial electrical application, pneumatics, hydraulics and control systems
  • Experience with reliability center maintenance, lean manufacturing and analytical problem solving tools including Six Sigma, Root Cause Failure Analysis and statistical analysis methods
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
