Compensation: $25/hour

General Purpose:

Bring the excitement to join a one-of-a-kind, fast-growing local brand. Develop, implement, and execute an annual Marketing plan that highlights the entire venue, showcases all departments, and assists in driving business to the facility.

Essential Duties:

  • Creates and designs flyers, posters, website emails, newsletters, menus, brochures, creative copy, presentations, data entry, digital signage, and learns new applications as they may arise.
  • Manages social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, YouTube, etc.) working with ownership, facility management, and alongside internal partnerships.
  • Works with Troon’s Director of Marketing & Communications to achieve the approved business/marketing plans. Adjusts plans as necessary to optimize the goals and objectives of the Department.
  • Assists in the development of guest campaigns and communications to drive awareness of events and social opportunities internally at the facility.
  • Participates in creating highly polished, inspiring presentations to be used for facility and Ownership presentations.
  • Prepares marketing ROI analysis and key performance metric reporting.
  • Prepares marketing analytics to measure performance for prioritizing and optimizing all marketing campaigns, with a focus on spend efficiency.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Occasionally reaches with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lifts to 25 pounds.

Environment/Noise:

  • Works consistently in outdoor weather conditions.
  • The noise level is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

  • None Required

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

  • 2-4 years of marketing and/or communications experience, preferably in hospitality. A college degree is preferred.
  • A full-time work schedule predominates Monday through Friday; however, occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work is also required. The individual must have a flexible schedule and availability.
  • Proficient in some or all of Adobe Suite (Photoshop or Illustrator), Canva (or a similar product), Klaviyo (or a similar product), and Social Media Post Curation.
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills are essential to maintain high service standards and interact effectively with members on a daily basis.
  • Proficient time-management skills, detail-orientation, and strong follow-through with a high level of accuracy is required.
  • A strong track record of working independently and proactively assisting in identifying bold and creative new initiatives.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments where multiple projects are ongoing at once, with different timelines and stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Strong analytical skills, communication, and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with best practices and effective marketing and communications techniques in the club or hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of or able to quickly learn different computer applications and internet modules, including but not limited to Microsoft products, specialized club specific Apps, Adobe InDesign, internet sites, websites, and club-specific software such as Jonas.
