Position Summary
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting and executing the day-to-day and ongoing marketing activities for United Publications. In support of these responsibilities, it is crucial for the Marketing Coordinator to collaborate regularly with internal stakeholders to prioritize work in support of key marketing and communications needs. This role will consist of content creation and project management of events, email, ad marketing, associated plans, circulation/audience development and list management.
Reporting Accountability: Business Manager, United Publications
Working Location: Waterloo, IA / Remote
Work Hours Classification: Full-time hours - 8am-5pm CST

This is a fast-paced position responsible for managing multiple tasks and projects with urgent deadlines, requiring strong personal drive, commitment to success and high attention to detail.

- Generate audience and goal orientated content for various marketing channels including (but not limited to): email, social media, marketing campaigns, print and digital platforms.
- Proofread and edit content created by other team members.
- Track performance and provide reporting to clients and internal team members.
- Uncover opportunities for enhanced performance based on result discovery and communicate with pertinent team members.
- Collaborate with other members of our marketing and production teams to develop ideas.
- Create, execute, and manage marketing plans for internal and external promotions.
- Strategic and critical thinker.
- Ability to adapt writing to connect with targeted audience and differing industry.
- Manage relationship between applicable external partners.
- Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 Years of Marketing and/or related Industry experience
- Solid working knowledge of MS-office suite of products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Client focused approach to work
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple, potentially conflicting deadlines with attention to detail and within agreed timelines
- A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
- Shows commitment to and performs consistently high-quality work
- Strong writing, grammatical, and proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently
- Operation of office equipment and using technology efficiently such as computers, phones, misc. office equipment
- Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
