Job Description

Lockheed Martin’s SOF GLSS Team, the leading provider of a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the SOF GLSS team in Lexington, KY. The candidate will perform classified duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Mechanical Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• design and complete modifications on various military ground and maritime platforms in support of our Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) Program in Lexington, KY.
• While the primary focus of this position is on ground and maritime vehicles, support may also be required on other vehicles/aircraft platforms supported by the contract. Scope generally involves modification and component integration (primarily electrical and mechanical) into various platforms based on customer specifications.
• This position will be responsible for:
• Collaborating with lead engineers, project engineers, and systems and design teams to ensure systems meet the customer needs and the resulting products operate as intended.
• Development of component installation, assembly, and part designs and drawings for integration of equipment, including: mechanical systems, armor, radios, antennas, transmitters, power equipment, servers systems and components, etc.
• Contribute to customer design reviews.
• Document and process engineering releases and changes.
• The successful candidate will be forward thinking, flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
