JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Eligibility Business Analyst to support business process improvement and system enhancement initiatives. This role will serve as a liaison between business units, development teams, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and converting business requirements into actionable user stories, testing solutions, and driving improvements in efficiency, quality, and compliance, particularly for eligibility-related services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
  • Gather and document clear, well-structured business and technical requirements.
  • Translate requirements into smaller, manageable user stories for development teams.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings to validate requirements and refine objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and prioritize product backlogs.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements across documentation platforms (e.g., ADO, ServiceNow).
  • Perform functional testing and defect monitoring to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Create visual dashboards and performance reports to inform stakeholders.
  • Identify automation opportunities and recommend process enhancements.
  • Assist in project planning, tracking, and management activities.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree or higher in Business Administration, Business Analysis, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or QA Analyst.
  • Experience in requirements analysis, documentation, and validation.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills written, verbal, and technical.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, or other government assistance programs.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and working with data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Understanding of a range of IT systems, platforms, and technologies.
