Indian Rocks Christian School (IRCS) is seeking a creative, Christ-centered educator to teach Art at the middle school level. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the visual arts and a heart for discipling students, integrating a biblical worldview into each lesson while fostering students’ artistic expression, spiritual growth, and overall development.

• Teach Art to middle school students, providing a strong foundation in artistic techniques, visual literacy, and creative expression.
• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate art lessons that align with IRCS’s curriculum and integrate a biblical worldview.
• Encourage students to explore their God-given creativity while nurturing character development and spiritual formation.
• Incorporate a variety of media, materials, and technology to enhance instruction and inspire student engagement.
• Foster a classroom environment that values artistic risk-taking, critical thinking, and mutual respect.
• Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support interdisciplinary learning, student growth, and school-wide initiatives.
• Organize and display student artwork throughout the school and participate in school-wide events, including fine arts showcases and community activities.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification in Art and/or experience teaching middle school students in a Christian school setting.
• Demonstrated artistic skill and instructional ability across various media (e.g., drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art).
• Strong commitment to Christian discipleship and the values and mission of Indian Rocks Christian School.
• A collaborative and creative leader who exemplifies humility, emotional intelligence, positivity, and loyalty to the IRCS vision.
• Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle and be willing to be an Active member of Indian Rocks Baptist Church or willing to become an active participant, including regular worship attendance, Life Group participation, ministry service, and tithing
