Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and state-certified Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will deliver engaging course content in an online environment, supporting students' individual needs and fostering their academic growth. While primarily remote, occasional travel within Texas may be required for school functions such as state testing.
Responsibilities
Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students, personalized to their needs.
Demonstrate belief in students' ability to succeed and maintain high expectations for their learning.
Differentiate instruction based on students' mastery levels.
Utilize appropriate tools to augment course content according to established policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate student records, make placement decisions, and communicate concerns to administrators.
Prepare students for standardized tests and ensure academic integrity.
Establish and maintain positive rapport with students and parents/learning coaches, providing timely communication and support.
Travel occasionally for professional development and student testing.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Active state teaching license
Ability to clear required background check
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
Strong collaboration skills and openness to receiving coaching
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with middle school-aged students
Experience in online or blended learning environments
Familiarity with online learning platforms
Work Environment
This position is remote, offering flexibility in work hours. A professional home office setup is required to minimize distractions during the workday.
