Summary

Provide energy modeling, analysis and engineering design support for ENERGY STAR, National Green Building standards and LEED single family and multi-family projects. Other duties include providing code compliant documentation to builders, analysis information gathered in the field with computer generated models and other energy associated duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Energy modeling that meets ENERGY STAR, LEED and NGBS standards
  • Code compliance modeling that meets state and city local codes
  • Provide energy performance modeling for residential and multi-family buildings.
  • Analyze the energy performance of a new construction and existing facilities to determine cost effective energy measures and efficiency for compliance with LEED and other similar programs.
  • Continuing education and reading of current building energy codes
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of energy modeling standards (i.e., DOE-2, EnergyPlus, ENERGY STAR and ASHRAE Standard 90.1)
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office
  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD and Bluebeam
  • Basic understanding of energy modeling software (Carrier HAP, Energy Pro, Ekotrope, and REM Rate)
  • Capable of working under pressure while maintaining high quality standards
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and provide effective information acquisition.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Capable of learning new software and energy standards through independent study
  • Title 24 Experience is preferred but not required.

Required Work Experience

  • 2 – 5 years preferred but not mandatory
