Your Role as Vice President of Construction

Thompson Thrift Construction is seeking a Vice President of Construction to lead multifamily construction projects across the U.S. As a visionary leader in multifamily construction, you’ll be at the helm of our project portfolios, ensuring that each project is delivered successfully, on time, and within budget. Your role will be pivotal in shaping strategies that reflect our commitment to excellence, quality, and business processes while driving the successful completion of projects in accordance with our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote Corporate Culture: Uphold and promote the corporate culture and values.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring effective staffing and project planning.
  • Cost & Schedule Management: Conduct in-depth cost and schedule analysis to keep projects on track.
  • Subcontractor Relations: Manage subcontractor relationships and resolve any emerging issues.
  • Site Safety & Compliance: Oversee site safety and security, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and continuous communication with owners and the executive team.
  • Strategic Planning: Drive the implementation of strategic goals and objectives.
  • Construction Integrity: Uphold the integrity of our construction operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Project Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze and advise on construction results, trends, and forecasts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Forge strong relationships with key stakeholders and support our growth and expansion.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 10 years in multifamily construction, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Office, project management tracking and scheduling software, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Abilities: Ability to operate independently, use good judgment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership Qualities: Strong leadership skills, diplomacy, tact, and a positive attitude.

Compensation

  • Annual Salary Range: $200,000 - $240,000, depending on experience, plus bonus.
