Key Responsibilities:
- Night Audit Functions:
- Perform nightly audits of financial transactions, including reconciling guest accounts, verifying charges, and ensuring accurate postings.
- Generate and review daily financial reports, including occupancy rates, revenue, and outstanding balances.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in financial records or guest accounts.
- Guest Service:
- Provide exceptional service to guests during the night shift, including check-ins, check-outs, and handling any special requests or inquiries.
- Address and resolve guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Front Desk Operations:
- Manage the front desk operations, including answering phones, processing reservations, and handling guest requests.
- Ensure that the front desk area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Security and Safety:
- Monitor the hotel’s security systems and perform regular patrols to ensure the safety and security of guests and hotel property.
- Handle emergency situations and coordinate with emergency services if necessary.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare and distribute nightly reports to management, including summaries of guest activity, financial performance, and any notable incidents.
- Complete and file necessary paperwork, including guest registration cards and incident reports.
- Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with the day shift team and management regarding any issues or updates from the night shift.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address any overnight needs or requests.
- Guest Relations:
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to guests.
- Ensure that all guest interactions are handled with professionalism and courtesy.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or business is a plus.
- Previous experience in a hotel front desk or audit role preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in hotel management software
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle emergency situations.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
