Position Summary

The Nutrition Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and leading Nutrition Services staff in completion of daily shift duties and activities. This includes coordinating food production and service for patients and the cafeteria, and monitoring food for temperature, quality, and portion control. May also coordinate catering events.

As a Nutrition Services Coordinator with Asante, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Ensure the department is maintained in a safe, clean, and sanitary condition to meet state/federal regulations.

  • Demonstrate good decision-making skills in all situations and inspire confidence in subordinates and peers.
  • Actively participate in required meetings and in-service to improve the quality and efficiency of the unit.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in institutional food preparation/cooking is required.
  • Oregon Food Handler Card issued by an agency approved by Oregon Department of Health required.
  • DL: Possession of a valid Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past ten years and proof of auto insurance is required. Must obtain Oregon Driver's License within 30 days of moving to Oregon (if applicable).
  • CDM: Certified Dietary Manager, preferred.
