About the Position:

As an On-Demand Team Member at Target, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those seeking a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand Team Member, you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you. You will not be included in the posted weekly schedule. We require active engagement by picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our contact attempts.

Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months. If we do not receive a response from you, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated.

About Service & Engagement:

As a Guest Advocate, you will be an advocate of the guest experience. You will welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery. Your role will involve assisting guests with physical and digital services and solutions, promoting the benefits and offerings available, and making shopping effortless and seamless.

The role of a Guest Advocate provides you with the opportunity to:

  • Communicate and interact with guests to build an inclusive guest experience
  • Blend problem-solving and decision-making skills to positively impact the guest experience
  • Adapt to different guest interactions and situations
  • Promote and sell various benefits, offerings, and services

Responsibilities:

While no two days are ever the same, a typical day as a Guest Advocate may include:

  • Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience
  • Creating a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Observing and understanding whether a guest needs assistance
  • Engaging with guests in a genuine way and asking questions to understand their specific needs
  • Being knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to solve issues for guests
  • Thanking guests and making them aware of current and upcoming offerings
  • Scanning and bagging guest items efficiently and neatly
  • Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining accuracy
  • Promoting the Target RedCard and assisting guests with the application process
  • Supporting fulfillment services and educating guests on using the Target App
  • Handling returns and resolving any negative situations
  • Delivering easy and seamless service to guests
  • Maintaining a clean work area and ensuring compliance with safety policies
  • Supporting order pick-up and drive-up services
  • Performing other duties as needed
