Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those looking for a personalized work schedule As an On-Demand team member, you won't be included on the weekly schedule. Instead, you'll have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you. This can be done through our myTime mobile scheduling app We expect active engagement from our On-Demand team members. This means picking up and working shifts and responding to our attempts at contact. Regular attendance is important, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment with Target Once hired as an On-Demand team member, you'll attend a Target Welcome orientation and complete a structured training schedule to ensure you're prepared for your new role. After that, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up shifts ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT As a Guest Advocate, you'll be an advocate for the guest experience. This includes welcoming and thanking guests, exceeding their service expectations, and providing assistance and solutions to their needs. You'll also promote and sell various benefits, offerings, and services The role of a Guest Advocate is dynamic and no two days are the same. Your responsibilities may include: - Delivering excellent guest service by following Target's service standards - Creating a welcoming experience by greeting guests authentically - Observing and understanding guests' needs through verbal and nonverbal cues - Engaging with guests, asking questions to better understand their specific needs - Being knowledgeable about the products, services, and tools available in the store - Thanking guests genuinely and letting them know they're valued - Efficiently scanning and bagging items while following food safety standards - Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining accuracy and service - Informing guests about brand launches, store activities, and events - Promoting and assisting guests with Target RedCard application process - Familiarizing guests with fulfillment services and Target App features - Handling returns and resolving any concerns following Target's policies - Providing seamless service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests - Maintaining a clean and organized work area - Following safety policies and best practices WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR You might be a great fit for this role if: - You enjoy working in a fun and energetic environment - Providing excellent service to guests excites you - You enjoy interacting with people and making things easy for others - You prefer a job that keeps you active rather than behind a computer all day While we provide comprehensive training, there are a few skills we expect you to have: - Effective communication and attentiveness to guests' needs - A welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members - Attention to detail and ability to multitask - Willingness to educate guests and sell products and services - Adaptability to evolving technology needs - Ability to work independently and as part of a team We also expect the following from our team members: - Accurate cash register operations and cash handling - Ability to handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 15 pounds - Flexibility in work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays - Active engagement in picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our attempts at contact Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Target is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
