ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a qualified Budtender with experience in the cannabis industry. Budtenders are the first impression of Ponderosa and must be an ambassador for Ponderosa customer service standards and our company culture. Maintaining a clean and professional environment that aligns with our first-class standards is also crucial to this role.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - BUDTENDER:

  • Welcome visitors and customers warmly, both in person and over the phone, applying relationship-building principles to foster positive experiences and ongoing customer relationships.
  • Provide customers with information and educational resources about cannabis, including strains, methods of administration, effects, and precautions.
  • Operate a cash register, accurately itemizing and totaling purchases while adhering to regulatory limits and applying discounts or specials as required.
  • Process customer payments accurately, issue receipts and refunds, and provide correct change when needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment.
  • Balance the cash drawer and conduct audits at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy and proper organization.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential customers to drive business growth.
  • Maintain oversight and chain-of-custody for all assets within the assigned workstation.
  • Weigh and record product quantities with precision.
  • Manage customer records and all materials containing customer information appropriately.
  • Assist in product preparation and display tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed.
  • Quick learner and willing to be coachable and flexible with work tasks.
  • Must be 21+ years old.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card.
  • Attention to detail and ability and willingness to follow instructions.
  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Reliable attendance and communication - show up to work when you say you will and do what you say you will do.
  • Criminal background checks will be performed; most marijuana-related crimes will not negatively impact an application.
  • Reliable transportation.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Experience in the cannabis industry (formal or informal).
  • Desire for full-time employment opportunities with the company.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Cannabis-related education.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

License/Certification: Facility Agent (FA) card (required to start work)
