About The Terminal Operations Support Role

As a Terminal Operations Support team member in our remote Laredo location, your role is to assist in the smooth execution of day-to-day terminal activities. You’ll work closely with the Terminal Supervisor and the operations team to ensure efficiency, compliance, and excellent service delivery. Your contribution will be key in supporting drivers, vendors, and customers, helping us maintain high operational standards and strengthen our presence in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily terminal operations to maintain safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
• Assist with scheduling, dispatching, and communicating with drivers for pickups and deliveries.
• Help monitor and update transportation management systems and fleet tracking platforms (e.g., McLeod, Samsara).
• Aid in the coordination of terminal maintenance, repairs, and regular facility upkeep.
• Track utility bills, vendor invoices, and other expenses; support the supervisor in financial reporting and compliance with budget guidelines.
• Collaborate with the El Paso terminal and other teams to align on procedures and share best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of permits, vehicle conditions, and compliance documentation.
• Communicate with drivers regularly to provide updates, instructions, and resolve minor issues as needed.
• Support the planning and implementation of emergency procedures and help coordinate response activities when needed.
• Assist with welcoming visitors, including customers and vendors, ensuring a professional and positive experience.
• Contribute to regular reports on terminal operations, driver support, and vendor interactions.
• Participate in team meetings and training to stay aligned with operational goals and standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a transportation, logistics, or trucking support role preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations is a plus.
• Proficiency with logistics tools and Microsoft 365 (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Teams).
  
  

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of trucking operations and logistics coordination.
• Familiarity with systems like McLeod, Samsara, and dispatch software is a plus.
• Competence in remote communication tools (Microsoft Teams, Fellow).
• Ability to troubleshoot common operational issues quickly and efficiently.
