Randall Electrical Contractors (REC) is currently seeking a top-tier Payroll & Bookkeeping Administrator to work in our office in Titusville, FL. We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements.
This is a full-time, in-office position with benefits. The pay rate is $22 - $28 based on experience.
Essential Functions
- Process timesheets/reimbursements
- Certified Payroll/ CCIP reports
- Maintain employee files - Ensure update expired doc Driver’s License, Badges
- Handles the following: Vacation requests, reprimands, worker's comp, evaluations/raises
- Process new hires/terminations
- Coordinates orientation with Apopka HQ
- Administer drug test as needed
- Verify employment as needed
- Assist employees with any questions/concerns
- Keep employee records up to date electronically and paper
- Track absences & the level of each apprentice
- Track of sick time earned on government projects
- Assist with audits
Bookkeeping (Sage 100 experience a plus):
- Coordinate all accounting functions with Apopka HQ
- Maintain WIP (Work-In-Progress) calculations
- AP / Vendor Statement Reconciliations
- AR Reconciliations
- Collections, as needed
- Standard journal entries
- Maintain General Ledger (GL)
- Bank Statement Reconciliations
Administrative:
- Send out Company Emails
- Check eligibility of employee to verify drivers to be added to insurance
- Maintain company vehicle list & distribute updated tags and insurance info
- Maintain current employee spreadsheet
- Assist with answering the phones, receiving packages, assisting walk-ins, and order supplies
- Notarize documents as needed
- Coordinate meetings as needed
Desired Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Communication skills (can speak to people in a professional environment).
- Time conscious (can be on time and efficient).
- Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, and teamwork.
- Ability to pass drug screen and reference check.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety procedures at all times.
- Ability to work well with others.
Physical Requirements
This is primarily an office position and, as such, you must be able to sit up to six or more hours in an eight-hour workday, lift light objects such as files and paperwork frequently during the day, and objects weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally during the day. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job.
