Payroll Specialist - #304888

Position: Payroll Specialist

Location: Tulsa, OK

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Job Duties:

• Process biweekly or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule
• Manage complex multi-state payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.
• Process union payroll, including dues and benefits, contract compliance and reporting requirements.
• Review and verify timekeeping records, pay adjustments, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies professionally and promptly
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits, reconciliation and year-end processing
• Assist with system testing, payroll implementations, and process improvements as needed.
  
  

Requirements (excel? Degree? Yrs of exp? Must have skills?):

• Minimum 5 years of payroll processing experience required
• Experience with payroll software systems and timekeeping platforms, UKG preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Advanced proficiency preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally.
• Proven experience handling complex multi-state payroll
