Summary/Objective

VICI is looking for a highly organized and creative Photo & Post Production Editor. This is a unique hybrid role that combines photo asset coordination, product photography, digital teching, and retouching. This role is on VICI’s Studio team working closely with our Art Director and Photographer on VICI’s photography and post-production. The Photo & Post Production Editor should be familiar with photo editing, digital asset management, color correction, and filenaming. Additionally, this role supports with shooting photography both on model and still life. The Photo &Post Production Editor role is perfect for someone who loves Post-Production and also has an interest in being on set as a photographer, photo assistant, and digital tech.

Essential Functions

  • Point person for photo file management and post-production on VICI’s studio team, coordinating all retouching and final imagery requests
  • Works as the lead communicator with external retouching vendors to pass off imagery and meet deadlines
  • Assists in quality control of assets and re-edits. Communicates any issues to retouching vendor and studio team
  • Edits images to VICI’s photography standards, including retouching, cropping, and color correcting when needed to meet deadlines
  • Shares new ways to improve processes around asset management, editing, and post-production
  • Creates markups and communicates any edit notes
  • Responsible for uploading images to galleries for review and final share-outs
  • Owns filenaming and placing images in correct order
  • Point person for any photo asset requests for cross-functional partners
  • Shoots on model and still life photography occasionally to support Studio team’s productivity goals
  • Supports with shooting model castings and other photo projects
  • Supports with shooting and editing social content
  • Responsible for assisting photographers on shoots with lighting & equipment, set building, tethering, uploading cards, and additional duties as assigned
  • Assists with making photo selects and participates in review sessions with Art Director
  • Creates CaptureOne presets to apply to images and makes adjustments as needed
  • Responsible for filenaming, exporting, and backing up shoots
  • Ensures images are accurate and high quality including color, saturation, focus and sharpness, and flags any issues to Art Director and Photographer on set
  • Responsible for product color accuracy and color correcting
  • Manages asset storage and maintains an organized archive of images
  • Helps pack gear and computers for Location and Campaign shoots
  • Other duties as assigned in relation to photography, file management, on set assistance, and post-production

Competencies

  • Must be able to work with CaptureOne & Photoshop
  • Highly organized with ability to meet and adhere to gallery deadlines
  • Abilitiy to juggle multiple projects and deadlines at once
  • Technical knowledge of photography, shooting, camera settings, and lighting
  • Retouching and color correcting
  • Experience working on set and assisting photographers
  • Communication skills that allow for leading conversation with retouching vendors
  • Video editing experience

Requirements

  • Must be able to provide before/after retouching samples to be considered for this role
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of work
  • Must be able to travel in and around Southern California for location photo shoots
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday on site in our Downtown LA office

$65,000 - $70,000 a year
