Role Overview: The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on delivering personalized, person-centered therapy to enhance the independence and well-being of older adults.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and modify treatment plans, assist with exercises, mobility, and therapeutic interventions.
• Educate participants and families on safety, use of assistive devices, and home exercises.
• Monitor and document patient progress, communicate effectively with the team, and ensure safety protocols.
• Maintain equipment and assist with participant transfers, contributing to quality improvement initiatives and team meetings.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program, current state license or eligibility, and preferred one-year experience, especially with elderly populations.
• Effective communication, rapport-building, and ability to work with diverse individuals and teams.
