We’re looking for a driven, independent, and well-rounded Mechanical Engineer to join our highly skilled #LANXESS team at our Baytown, TX facility. This is a hands-on, impactful role supporting operations in a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment where reliability and precision matter. You’ll be working inside a world class and safety driven OSHA VPP site, collaborating with seasoned professionals who are not only technical experts—but also invested in your success and development.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide technical support to the Maintenance Superintendent and Maintenance Planner/Scheduler
• Troubleshoot repeat equipment failures and develop long-term reliability solutions
• Execute small to medium-scale Capital Projects and support large-scale initiatives led by cross-functional teams
• Ensure equipment documentation, including P&IDs, are current and reflect all modifications
• Maintain inspection program compliance for vessels, PSVs, piping, and heat exchangers
• Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs for both new and existing equipment
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts to maintain operational readiness and reduce downtime

What You Bring:

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• 3–5 years of mechanical #engineering experience in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment
• Strong foundation in equipment reliability, maintenance strategies, and capital project execution
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
