About The Role

We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build smarter, more accurate health AI — and we need experts who understand population-level data to make it happen. As a Population Health Informaticist, you'll apply your analytical expertise to evaluate, improve, and inform AI systems focused on health outcomes, trends, and disparities across communities.

This is a meaningful opportunity to put your public health and data skills to work on cutting-edge AI projects — fully remote, on your schedule.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated population health analyses for accuracy, completeness, and real-world applicability
  • Review and assess data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting frameworks used in health surveillance and decision-making
  • Identify gaps, errors, or biases in AI outputs related to health trends, disparities, and community-level outcomes
  • Provide structured, expert feedback to help AI systems reason more accurately about population health concepts
  • Translate complex analytical scenarios into clear, actionable evaluations that improve AI performance

Who You Are

  • Experienced working with healthcare, public health, or population-level datasets
  • Skilled in data analysis and visualization, including dashboards and reporting tools
  • Able to critically evaluate data-driven insights and identify where AI reasoning falls short
  • Strong communicator — you can explain complex health data concepts clearly and concisely
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently in an async environment

Nice to Have

  • Background in epidemiology, biostatistics, health informatics, or a related field
  • Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation frameworks
  • Familiarity with public health surveillance systems or population health platforms
  • Prior work with AI or machine learning projects in a health context
