Position Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees all related functions or administrative projects on an on going basis.
• Coordinates the day-to-day activities for the assigned team. Arranges team efforts in order to accomplish target projects and activities meeting timeline and specified requirements.
• Provides counsel to other team members and staff regarding performance, attendance and other matters of concern to the staff. Acts as a guide for departmental practices and policies.
• Serves as a liaison between staff, management and other department on day-to-day issues.
• Gathers information and conducts research on special projects as required by the department.
• Keeps track, evaluates and provides feedback on assigned projects. Monitors implementation and outcome of programs or projects as required. Provides direct assistance to the Manager and Director as requested. Ensures the implementation of administrative duties as assigned by the Director or Manager.
• Establishes and maintains effective interpersonal relationships with co-workers and other members of the hospital.
• Follows the National Patient Safety goals as required.
• Follows Patient Safety goals as established by the department; supports effective responses to adverse and sentinel events; provides an on-going proactive approach to reduce risk; integrates patient safety as a priority into new and existing processes.
• Is available to participate as a member of either Team A or Team B of the Hurricane Activation Plan, as assigned.
• Reports incidents to the Manager and/or Risk Management department within required timeframe in accordance with medical center policy.
• Complies with current Hospital security and safety polices & All other tasks as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medical / research background preferred
• Bachelors Degree preferred in a related discipline
