As our Preconstruction Manager, you'll work closely with national general contractors, architects, and designers to evaluate project requirements, develop accurate estimates, and ensure smooth project transitions from preconstruction to execution. This role is pivotal in driving our success and expanding our reach to new, high-profile clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preconstruction process, from concept to contract, ensuring feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to align on project vision and feasibility.
  • Identify materials, finishes, and labor needs for custom fabrication projects.
  • Manage and refine the bid process, preparing and submitting competitive proposals.
  • Oversee RFI and RFQ processes, tracking submissions and reviewing incoming estimates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and project stakeholders.
  • Evaluate contracts for scope accuracy and close post-bid opportunities effectively.
  • Implement and optimize estimating software, cost sheets, and pricing models to improve efficiency.
  • Provide input on value engineering and risk assessment to optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or related roles.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Experience with virtual bid rooms and ERP software (Innergy ERP a plus).
  • In-depth knowledge of bid processes, contract evaluation, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for occasional site visits.
