Job Summary:
- Manages the purchase of goods and services for their organization.
- Receives purchase requisitions from various sources and converts them to Purchase Orders.
- Contacts potential vendors and compares their price quotations.
- Chooses the most cost-effective option and notifies the vendor
- Negotiate with different suppliers for price, quality, timeliness and other factors.
- Receives purchase requisitions and converts to POs from various sources.
- Development and execution of activities for cost reduction
- Identify new suppliers in conjunction with Reliability Department to meet the business needs.
- Grow and maintain positive supplier relationships while ensuring that partnerships align with DPC objectives. Maintain and lead designed supplier meetings.
- Negotiate with different suppliers for price, quality, timeliness and other factors.
- Manage supplier transition initiatives in conjunction with Reliability and Storeroom
- Initiate and manage RFQ’s (Request For Quote) for designated commodities.
- Advises management and project personnel of contractual rights and obligations
- BS Degree + 5 years minimum in related field or 10 years of experience in related field
- Strong professional skills with an ability to communicate both written and orally with all levels of business.
- Strong analytical and computer skills.
- Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP/MRP experience – Oracle preferred
- High functioning employee who is capable of managing multiple outlets and projects at the same time Handle projects requiring a high level of confidentiality and understand the detrimental effects that take place when confidentiality is broken.
- Knowledge of purchasing procedures and practices
- Storeroom Management Experience
