Procurement Specialist- Edwardsville, KS

LHH is partnering with a leading Manufacturing client in the Edwardsville, KS area to fill its Procurement Specialist role. This position will play a pivotal role in our procurement team, responsible for sourcing and acquiring products while optimizing costs and maintaining high-quality standards. Your keen analytical skills, negotiation expertise, and vendor management abilities will be crucial in driving the success of our supply chain.

• Responsibilities:**
• Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring a reliable and diverse network
• Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, pricing, and industry developments to inform purchasing decisions
• Cost Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements with suppliers while maintaining quality standards
• Purchase Order Management: Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, proactively addressing issues to ensure continuity
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including inventory, logistics, and sales, to align procurement with overall business objectives
• Contract Compliance: Ensure suppliers adhere to contractual agreements, monitoring performance and resolving any discrepancies.
• Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3+ years of experience in procurement or a relevant field.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance.
