Job Description
Responsible for the coordination and execution of specific project activities, varying from full ownership for a smaller sized project 0-10MM$ capital to ownership of specific areas within a larger scale project. Applies technical leadership skills to deliver successful Capital projects with benchmark capital cost, schedules, and high quality products which meet their defined success criteria.
All Procter &Gamble Manufacturing sites have complex industrial infrastructure, utilities, processing, packing, and warehousing operations. P&G’s purpose is to delight our consumers with our products and services. As such, we have a high frequency and regular cycles of innovation and change in our products and our manufacturing technologies, and thus a need for strong engineering, capital management, and project management skills at our manufacturing sites.
This is a position within the Engineering organization at the Kansas City Manufacturing site with focus on Project and Capital Management. The position will train and qualify through P&G’s standard capital and project management training programs. Upon qualification, this position will manage several projects simultaneously from small in-size ($50,000 to $500,000) to medium in size ($1,000,000 to $5,000,000). The projects could be within any of the existing technologies required to manufacture products at our site (civil/structural, utilities, processing, packing, warehousing, and even digital). The size and complexity of the projects will increase with experience. The Project manager will lead the project through creation of scope, estimates, schedules, and technical correctness, and manage from early feasibility through the end of construction and start-up. It will also be necessary for this role to be able to effectively coordinate projects with central P&G engineering, the Kansas City operations, and the on-site construction management organization. Depending upon size and complexity this role could be managing contracted engineering resources to complete front end engineering and design related to their projects.
Procter & Gamble will provide training in project manager fundamentals including (Capital Management, Engineering Work Process, Cost Engineering, and Construction Management). There will also be training on the various manufacturing technologies that exist at the Kansas City Site. This role will receive their direct management and coaching from an experienced P&G Project Manager.

Job Qualifications
- 0-2 Years of Experience
- An Engineering Degree or the equivalent of 2 to 3 years experience in Project Management, Capital Management, or Construction Management in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
