Summary

The North Carolina Football Club, owner and operator of two affiliated professional soccer teams: the North Carolina Courage (NWSL) and North Carolina FC (USL Championship), is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to oversee the daily operations and production pipeline of our creative team. This role is essential in ensuring that all creative projects - ranging from graphic design to video and motion graphics - are delivered on time, on brand, and within budget. You will work closely with a team of talented creatives, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders to manage project intake, workflows, timelines, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Workflow Management

  • Manage the intake, review, and assignment of creative job tickets via Asana or other project management tools.
  • Oversee projects from initiation through final delivery, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are properly resourced.
  • Maintain a master creative project list and track project statuses (e.g., in-progress, on-hold, completed).
  • Develop and distribute weekly project reports with updates on volume, progress, and roadblocks.

Resource Allocation

  • Monitor workloads and assign projects based on team members' skills and availability.
  • Coordinate with freelancers and contractors as needed to scale production capacity.
  • Ensure all necessary tools, briefs, and assets are available to support high-quality work.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Act as the main liaison between the creative team, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
  • Lead daily check-ins (morning planning and afternoon status updates) to align the team.
  • Collaborate with creative team members in meetings, supporting them as they represent their respective verticals, while ensuring overall goals, deliverables, and timelines are clearly communicated.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions and campaign planning meetings for key initiatives.

Pre-Production Planning & Content Oversight

  • Lead pre-production meetings for photography, videography, and design needs, particularly around events or game days.
  • Develop shot lists, creative plans, and assign roles to ensure seamless execution during live events.
  • Oversee creative execution on game days, ensuring coordination between all content creators.

Project Tracking & Quality Control

  • Monitor project progress, proactively adjust timelines when needed, and identify potential roadblocks.
  • Proofread and request necessary edits to ensure brand and content standards are met before delivery.
  • Support quality control processes, including photo selection and metadata tagging when needed.

Efficiency & Process Improvement

  • Continuously evaluate workflows and recommend tools, templates, and processes to improve productivity.
  • Maintain organized digital libraries, naming conventions, and file archiving systems.
  • Ensure that all project files are properly labeled, stored, and accessible for future use.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in creative project management, preferably in an agency or in-house setting.
  • Strong understanding of creative processes including graphic design, video production, photography, and motion graphics.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Asana).
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-driven, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external creative vendors or freelancers.

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and creative file types.
  • Background in marketing, branding, or advertising.
  • Experience in the sports or entertainment industry, especially soccer.
