Job Overview
Marvin Composites is hiring a Project Manager Intern for our Fargo, ND location. Gain hands-on experience in project management while working alongside industry professionals. You’ll support a variety of initiatives, from shadowing experienced project managers to leading smaller projects with their mentorship. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to key department goals, take ownership of project tasks, and assist with facility planning initiatives. This internship is designed to build your skills, confidence, and understanding of project management in an innovative manufacturing environment.
This is a paid internship. It is full-time during the summer and part-time with a flexible schedule during the school year. We’re looking for candidates available to work year-round, balancing their academic schedules and professional growth.
Highlights of your role
Marvin Composites produces custom fiberglass components used in many of the premium windows and doors manufactured by Marvin, a family-owned and -led company. As an industry leader in producing composite materials, we have a history of providing interns with real-world experiences in the manufacturing industry. Marvin Composites currently has fiberglass production facilities in Fargo, North Dakota, and Salem, Virginia. Highlights of your role
- Manage projects effectively by defining clear scopes of work, tracking budgets, and ensuring project timelines are met
- Learn and apply project management principles using internal systems and standard processes
- Support and lead change management efforts through an established management of change system, while documenting and validating project outcomes
- Participate in facility planning activities by providing input, verifying layout changes through AutoCAD, and providing prints along with relevant supporting documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Proficiency in Autodesk
- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
- Junior or senior status working toward a Project Management or Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering degree
