About the Role:

The Quality Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for overseeing quality control activities, leading a team of quality inspectors, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. The Quality Supervisor collaborates closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify quality issues and develop effective corrective actions. By maintaining rigorous quality assurance protocols, this role helps minimize defects, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Ultimately, the Quality Supervisor contributes to the company’s reputation for excellence by delivering products that consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or equivalent standards.
  • Proficiency in using quality tools and methodologies including statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements specific to the industry, such as FDA, ISO/TS, or GMP standards.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools.
  • Previous experience working in a supervisory role within a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the quality control team to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products to identify defects or deviations.
  • Analyze quality data and generate reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
  • Train and mentor quality control personnel on best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and facilitate problem-solving sessions to address quality concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements and quality system upgrades.

The Quality Supervisor utilizes strong analytical skills daily to interpret quality data and identify trends that impact product performance. Leadership and communication skills are essential for effectively managing the quality team and collaborating with other departments to resolve issues. Technical expertise in quality management systems and inspection techniques ensures that all products meet stringent standards. Problem-solving skills are applied to conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence of defects. Additionally, proficiency with quality software and continuous improvement methodologies supports the ongoing enhancement of quality processes and overall operational efficiency.
