Location: Onsite in Birmingham, AL (This is not a remote position)

SUMMARY:

The Recruiting Partner reports to the Director, People Operations, and is responsible for supporting a wide range of activities associated with our talent acquisition processes and activities for their assigned business units. This role serves as the primary recruiting point of contact for its business units, managing the full candidate lifecycle from sourcing through onboarding while representing the company's brand and values to prospective talent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional hiring managers to support hiring needs.
  • Be the subject matter expert on the company's talent acquisition process, including providing suggestions and ideas on how to improve a hiring manager's recruiting efforts and implementing those actions to meet departmental hiring goals.
  • Develop and coordinate job postings via the internal and external career websites and job boards.
  • Leverage the applicant tracking system (ATS) as a tool to support the full lifecycle of the talent acquisition process.
  • Source and create a strong pipeline of candidates via employment agencies, recruiters, job boards, job fairs, and networking sites.
  • Evaluate candidate applications and resumes, conduct pre-screen interviews, and facilitate interview schedules for hiring managers.
  • Coordinate offer letters, background checks, and other pre-employment steps to ensure a smooth, timely, and compliant hiring process.
  • Deliver a positive, professional candidate experience at every stage, serving as an ambassador for the company's employer brand.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the company's organizational structure and how each role contributes to our success.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our employer value proposition, including our benefits program, incentive plans, values, and standards, and accurately portray our proposition to candidates.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities, including processing new hire paperwork, leading new hire orientation, and onboarding new hiring managers in the ATS.
  • Produce ad hoc reporting related to recruiting and hiring efforts, and track and deliver key metrics designed to measure talent acquisition activities.
  • All other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma (or an equivalent such as a GED)
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in a Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition function.
  • Proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing the employment process
  • General working knowledge of the Human Resources function
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to facilitate communication between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under strict time constraints.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite and systems.
  • The ability to travel up to 5% as required for local job fairs or other recruiting events.
  • The ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience with Applicant Tracking modules within HRIS systems.
  • Experience recruiting in a high-volume environment.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent HR certification.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, typing, reading, talking, and hearing
  • The ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without assistance
