POSITION SUMMARY: World Relief California seeks a Regional Mid-Level Gift Officer to play the lead role in managing and cultivating relationships with partners contributing gifts ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. The primary focus is on building lasting connections with mid-level partners to ensure continued engagement and support for the organization's mission. This position will be measured through financial revenue goals
Hybrid Schedule: M-F; 8;30 am - 5:00 pm; 2 days in the office, 3 work from home days.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner Engagement:- Cultivate and steward relationships with World Relief California mid-level partners through personalized communication, and specific engagement strategies.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of partner interests and motivations to tailor fundraising approaches.
- Design and implement fundraising strategies to achieve annual revenue goals from mid-level partners.
- Collaborate with the World Relief California’s Advancement Department to integrate mid-level giving into overall fundraising initiatives.
- Work with World Relief’s legacy giving strategies to secure planned giving opportunities with long-term partners.
- Create compelling and targeted fundraising proposals for mid-level partners, emphasizing the impact of their contributions.
- Work closely with programmatic teams to gather information for partner proposals.
- Plan and execute events specifically designed to engage mid-level partners.
- Coordinate personalized interactions such as partner recognition events, virtual town halls, and exclusive updates.
- Maintain accurate partner records and monitor gift information in the fundraising database.
- Regularly analyze and report on mid-level giving performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other fundraising teams at the local and national level, ensuring seamless coordination between different giving levels.
- Work closely with marketing and communications teams to align messaging and outreach efforts.
- Implement recognition and acknowledgment programs for mid-level partners.
- Ensure timely and personalized expressions of gratitude for partners' contributions.
- Conduct research to identify potential mid-level partners from the mass-market portfolio creating pathways towards mid-level giving.
- Analyze and research mid-level partners giving capacity in partnership with the major gifts and other teams to develop pathways to 'bump up' mid-level to major donor.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in mid-level giving.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
- Strong oral and written communication skills with proven track record of preaching that moves to action
- Willingness to work with a wide variety of church denominations and theological positions
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office 365 suite, databases and report generation
- Travel up to 25%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in fundraising; specifically cultivating individual gifts.
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related fields with 3 years of portfolio management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with fundraising databases and tools.
