Job Description
The Regional Vice President, DC Operations is responsible for the development and operation of a world class distribution network including: Distribution Centers, PDQs, and all inbound and outbound transportation. This includes total accountability for an annual flow of inventory in excess of $6.4B to ensure efficient delivery and superior availability to our stores and commercial customers in direct support of sales initiatives.
The ideal candidate will reside in the Midwest or Northeast with close proximity to a major metropolitan airport and the ability to travel weekly within those regions.

This position directly supervises 7-10 DC General Managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develops, implements, monitors, and adjusts, as needed, the strategic plan to create and maintain a world class distribution network to best support the company’s sales efforts, through superior availability, in a cost efficient manner.
- Sets, measures, and evaluates goals for all areas distribution to include, but not limited to: labor productivity, shrink, transportation, distribution center operation, while ensuring Retail and Commercial satisfaction.
- Establishes a culture of continuous improvement to drive best practices, high customer service measures, while maintaining and improving upon a low cost structure.
- Provides clear leadership to drive and sustain change in area of responsibility.
- Works closely with Store Operations, Commercial, Inventory Management, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure proper synergy in attainment of the company’s overall goals through the efficient operation of the distribution network.
- Fosters an environment of proactive team member relations to maintain a highly motivated work force with fully engaged team members.
- Oversees compliance with health and safety to ensure a workplace free of hazards for our team members.
- Management of the fleet operations both 3rd party and direct.
- Manage the successful completion of capital projects.

- Experience with evaluation, selection, and implementation of automated warehouse systems and advanced WMS packages.
- Must be an effective communicator with outstanding management skills and vision to lead an organization undergoing aggressive growth and change.
- Experience in a high velocity distribution network which operates across a large geographic area.
- Strong knowledge and experience in DC operations, transportation, technology, systems, budgeting and financial management.
- Experience with large SKU base inventory, which includes both high and low velocity items.
- Knowledge of safety, international trade compliance, import and export regulations and other compliance related matters.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- 15 years of experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership positions in Supply Chain.
- Extensive experience in DC operations and transportation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field required. Masters in a related field is strongly desired.
This position directly supervises 7-10 DC General Managers.
