JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The Intensive Care Unit provides direct care or influences care for acutely/critically ill patients who are at high risk for actual or potential life-threatening health problems. The ICU provides care through advanced knowledge and experience in a setting that provides intensive monitoring, assessments, and

interventions.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.

AHA Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon submission.

GSR ICU-CCU:

ACLS, PALS and TNCC preferred with initial contract, but required for any extensions.

Previous ICU Experience Preferred.

Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required due to the College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity testing.
