Description:

  • Establishes priorities that align with organizational initiatives. Manages multiple projects simultaneously and adapts to frequent changes in priority. Manages teams to consensus decisions that support organizational objectives
  • Develops, manages and monitors assigned projects utilizing the designed methodology. Identifies and documents detailed tasks and timeline.
  • Plans across organization team members' work and assigns tasks and monitors progress, generally in a matrix work environment.
  • Manages problem resolution and risk mitigation.
  • Ensures customers are actively engaged throughout the project. Works with customers to ensure business workflows are completed.
  • Keeps the Epic leadership and project teams apprised through routine communication, reports and status updates to ensure the project plans and deliverables are met and potential risks are identified and resolved.
  • Facilitates and participates in meetings with the Epic project team, leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, IT or related field or an equivalent combination of education, certification and experience. Master's degree preferred. Ability to learn Epic's software. Certification optional and preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing progressively complex projects and/or possess a comprehensive knowledge of healthcare management that may be acquired through direct industry experience or through consulting. Broad-based knowledge of clinical or revenue operations preferred.
  • A project manager in this role must be willing to live locally and/or travel to be present on the work site as determined by leadership.
  • Project Management coursework or certification preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to see the position in what is new and different.
  • Ability to develop, manage and monitor the overall implementation for a specific application team and/or area and to reinforce the importance of the project and provide consistent communication to application directors and application project teams.
  • Ability to communicate to leadership regarding challenges and strategies for success.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership and subject matter experts.

Physical And Mental Requirements And Working Conditions

Operates in a typical office environment. The area is well lit, temperature-controlled and free from hazards. Incumbent communicates frequently, in person and over the telephone, with people in a number of different locations

Position is remote based

Healthcare and Epic experience highly preferred, - PMP is desired

Hourly pay ranges: $49.80 - $82.17
