Job Description

• While this role is remote, it is expected this person will occasionally travel to Houston, TX after they come onboard.
  
  

Our client is seeking a skilled Contract Business Analyst (BA) to lead the implementation of a software solution for managing our Third-party logistics (3PL) transactional business at our newly acquired warehouse in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will also be responsible for replicating the solution at our Thompson, GA facility once the Houston implementation is stable.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering: Collect and document business requirements for the 3PL software solution.

Vendor Demos: Identify potential software vendors and schedule demonstrations.

Vendor Selection: Coordinate the selection process for the software vendor/solution.

Process Definition: Define operational processes in conjunction with software functionality.

Data Conversion/Setup: Oversee data conversion and setup for the new system.

Testing and Training: Conduct testing and provide user training for the new software.

Implementation Planning: Plan and execute the implementation/cutover of the new system.

Post-Implementation Support: Provide support after the system goes live to ensure smooth operations.

Skills And Requirements

7 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with knowledge of 3PL operations.

Strong project management skills with the ability to handle tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Experience with software implementation and vendor management.

Ability to work independently and start immediately. Manufacturing industry experience

Timber industry experience

Supply chain experience null
