What You’ll Do

The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for facilitating, instructing and delivering technical and non-technical training to new and existing employees, consistent with the business units and company-wide training policies and procedures. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000.

  • Proactively conducts technical and non-technical, in-person and virtual training leveraging technology to provide success in an employee’s current role and/or desired role. Ensures employees across the country and in multiple time zones have a position training experience.
  • As a part of the learning environment, coaches employees on how to be successful when engaging with other team members, customers and management.
  • Engage in learning through train-the-trainer process and self-development to expand the quantity or instructional content which can be facilitated on multiple subjects to multiple markets (understanding marketed specificity) and to one or more business lines.
  • Provides evaluative, constructive feedback to other Trainers to ensure employees; future success resulting from training sessions. And other forms of learning. May also provide constructive feedback on process, delivery, and desired results to SMWs and/or other Trainers.
  • May work in the business unit and assist members and/or observe and coach employee’s on-on-one to improve performance. Coaching employees may include observation, feedback and engaging employees to participate, take action, and commit to change.

What You’ll Need

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and collaboration skills
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)  Solid track record and proven ability to work with all levels of management
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align programs and projects with Carrington’s mission and vision
  • Team player who enjoys collaborative work as well as individual responsibilities
  • Strong customer service orientation and high attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in similar training and development position preferred.
