Job Summary

As the Manager, Event and Warehouse Operations, you will play a vital role in overseeing the seamless execution of events and managing warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and alignment with company objectives. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead a team to deliver exceptional event experiences while maintaining high standards of warehouse management. Progression within this role is contingent upon the overall revenue generated by the warehouse under your supervision.

Duties And Responsibilities

Management

  • Communicate company culture, boost morale, and set expectations with all direct reports through regular and effective communication.
  • Serve as the primary lead for event execution at partner schools/properties, ensuring flawless delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate Production Coordinator(s) and hourly Installation Crew Members.
  • Manage the hourly employee evaluation process, providing constructive feedback and performance assessments.
  • Develop and implement a daily "closing" procedure to ensure proper warehouse closure and equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinate weekly production meetings to facilitate efficient scheduling of hourly staff members and outline operational needs.

Operations

  • Collaborate with the Production Coordinator and hourly Installation Crew Members to oversee processes such as quality control, inventory availability and maintenance, process management, and equipment transfers.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly equipped for specific jobs, including loading, unloading, and periodic maintenance inspections.
  • Establish and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for all equipment within the region to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Develop a weekly production schedule while managing a 6-week production plan to ensure events are executed within or below budgeted amounts.
  • Schedule and record hourly staff members' work time, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor regulations.
  • Lead the team during the installation of tents, tables, chairs, AV equipment, and other event-related items.

Warehouse Management

  • Oversee inventory and fleet maintenance, ensuring accuracy and availability of equipment for events.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts to maintain equipment accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Maintain a well-organized, clean, and productive warehouse setting to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Organize warehouse safety programs and ensure compliance with corporate safety protocols to create a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in event management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience, preferably in event production or warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of sports and experience in coordinating in-person events is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with a strong team player mentality and the ability to drive individual and team results.
  • Possess a high energy, positive attitude, and a charismatic "can-do" demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and coach various levels of team members.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks associated with event setup and warehouse operations.
