Job Description

Prep Academy Tutors of San Antonio is looking for Academic Tutors! As a tutor, you will work one-on-one with students to provide personalized support and guidance in their academic pursuits. Whether you specialize in English, history, math, science, chemistry, or a variety of subjects, we are looking for dedicated professionals who are committed to helping students succeed. Job Summary

• Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the state curriculum.
• Provide supplemental assignments to students to help promote a greater understanding of the material.
• Provide remedial and enrichment support for students.
• Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress.
• Provide a customized approach tailored to the individual needs of each student.
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

We are looking for teachers, subject matter experts (Masters Students, PhD Students, Engineers, etc) or soon-to-be teachers who can meet the following criteria:

Requirements

A qualified applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and will also meet at least one of the following criteria:

• You hold a valid Texas State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof
• You are a current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate
• You have two or more years of experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher.
• You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College
• You are a Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College
