The Miami HEAT And The Kaseya Center Are Looking For a Full-time Security Officer That Will Assist In The Handling Of Any Security-related Disturbances Or Problems That Might Arise During Events Or At The Facility. Essential Functions Of The Job Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during events or at the facility. If necessary, escort disruptive individuals to the security office and/or off the premises.
  • Write incident reports and meet with the security supervisor to review procedures.
  • Inspect alarms and fire extinguisher/sprinkler systems to ascertain they are set to operate. Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
  • Tour the facility examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secured.
  • Assist with crowd control inside and outside the premises.
  • Control unusual circumstances and events during a fire, storms, riots, and other emergencies.
  • Answer alarms and investigates disturbances.
  • Assist departments with any security-related issues.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Assist security division with special projects.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Must have a minimum of one-year related security experience and/or training. Must demonstrate knowledge of security issues related to major sports and entertainment venues. A Class D License is required.
