Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics, Management Information Systems, or a related field dealing with quantitative data; [official transcripts required upon hire];
- Two (2) years of experience using data management systems, including creating intermediate to advanced SQL queries, stored procedures or functions; and analytic tools such as Excel, R, Power BI, SAS, and SPSS;
- Or An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Experience in an education or government setting.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future;
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check;
- Must possess a valid driver’s license from a U.S. state or territory to perform necessary job-related travel.

- Data Compliance and Reporting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate compliance with federal and state reporting requirements; Guarantee the accurate and timely submission of essential state data; Assist with federal and state reporting requirements, ensuring compliance and timely submission.
- Data Standards and Documentation: Develop robust data standards, procedures, and comprehensive documentation; Establish clear guidelines and best practices to ensure consistency and accuracy in data management processes; Conduct in-depth analysis to determine data relevance about specific requirements.
- Data Extraction and Analysis: Utilize programming languages, particularly SQL, to extract data from diverse sources; Distill findings into actionable recommendations for decision-making, design, and issue resolution.
- Data Management and Support: Analyze, manage, and support large datasets within established parameters; Produce reports utilizing student-level information in response to specific requests; Ensure efficient and effective handling of valuable information by enhancing data collection and management processes.
- Technical Contribution: Actively contribute to the design and implementation of web-based data collection projects targeting student-level data; Assist in the organization and validation of accountability systems and education data; Maintain and organize data for use in the State Accountability System.
- Operational Support: Support daily operations by providing technical assistance to school districts; Review and audit education data to ensure quality and consistency; Generate state and local reports.

- Work Environment includes:
- Office Setting: Climate-controlled office setting with exposure to moderate noise; the employee is frequently required to talk, walk, and stand; this position requires long periods of sitting and daily use of computer and phone. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
- Physical Demands include:
- Ability to stand, reach, and bend 50% of the time;
- Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine/printer, and office telephone 75% of the time;
- Ascends/descends stairs 25% of the time;
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
