UMR, UnitedHealthcare’s third-party administrator (TPA) solution, is seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Research Specialist who is well-versed in survey tools and the market research landscape.
The candidate will be the SME and technical resource for the UMR instance of Qualtrics, building and deploying surveys in alignment with key business objectives. The ideal candidate will also be able to provide recommendations to business partners while providing key insights into survey results.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of surveys - from building and deploying to analyzing results - via Qualtrics (and other survey/form tools, where applicable) in line with key business objectives
- Configure intercepts and audience targeting logic for survey prompting across multiple sites serving UMR constituents
- Maintain existing surveys, updating them as requested and troubleshooting moderate to complex issues as they arise
- Ensure adherence to enterprise governance standards and broader regulatory requirements in the market research survey landscape
- Provide recommendations for the development of surveys to internal business partners to garner intended insights while maintaining survey intent
- Serve as the key analytics resource for surveys, designing and maintaining easy-to-digest results dashboards to monitor performance and insights
- Use survey performance metrics to provide recommendations for enhancements to the UMR constituent digital experience
- Communicate survey results to internal stakeholders, including keeping senior leadership appraised of key strategy and insights
- Develop and maintain data connections between Qualtrics and external platforms (via SFTP or other data extract methods) or reporting tools such as Adobe Analytics, Power BI, and Tableau
- Utilize excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while being able to respond quickly and accurately to change
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience developing surveys and dashboards in Qualtrics, including demonstrated knowledge and application of:
- Intercept logic, embedded data, and branching logic
- Contact list management and survey distribution via email
- Quality assurance testing of logic and layout rendering
- Experience working with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Power BI, Tableau), including integrating external data sources and creating custom dashboards
- Experience in communicating with business and technical leaders
- Knowledge of the market research landscape, including survey best practices and regulatory requirements
- Proven solid desire to continue to adapt and deepen knowledge of Qualtrics and the broader market research landscape and trends
- Experience working with other survey/form tools such as Microsoft Forms, Medallia, and One-Click Feedback
- Experience working within an Agile framework
- Experience working in a matrix organization
- Experience in the healthcare/health insurance or pharmacy industry
