This role serves as the primary program-level owner for hardware integration activities, aligning technical execution with business objectives, regulatory expectations and product roadmaps.
As a key member of the PMO group, this role is critical to accelerating innovation through acquisition while maintaining patient safety, regulatory compliance and product quality. The Hardware Project Manager ensures acquired technologies are seamlessly and responsibly integrated into the medical device portfolio, turning strategic investments into safe, effective products for patients.

This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week, including Costa Rica-Coyol, Costa Rica-Heredia and Ireland-Clonmel. Your Responsibilities Will Include
Minimum Salary: $131700
Maximum Salary: $250200
The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Lead the planning and execution of complex hardware development and integration programs associated with acquisitions.
- Partner with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, IT, Clinical, Operations and other cross-functional teams to integrate acquired technologies into the medical device portfolio while ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards and internal quality systems.
- Drive alignment between legacy and acquired development processes, tools and documentation.
- Develop and maintain integrated program plans covering hardware development, verification and validation, and regulatory deliverables.
- Manage program schedules, budgets, resources, risks and interdependencies across multiple cross-functional teams.
- Provide clear, data-driven program status updates, risks and decision points to R&D leadership and acquisition stakeholders.
- Ensure proper integration of hardware requirements, risk management, verification, validation and cybersecurity documentation.
- Support design reviews, phase-gate reviews and regulatory submissions related to integrated hardware products.
- Drive issue resolution and decision-making across organizational boundaries.
- Track project progress, manage budgets and provide transparent communication to cross-functional stakeholders, business sponsors and senior management.
- Conduct retrospectives and implement process improvement initiatives to drive future success.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience participating in and leading product development teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional hardware development programs.
- Strong understanding of regulated hardware development lifecycles and quality systems.
- Proven ability to manage complex, ambiguous programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions or technology integrations.
- Experience in the development of active implantable systems.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Master’s degree in engineering, management or a related field.
