Job Overview

Funtime Cabinet Factory, a respected name in custom cabinetry, is seeking a skilled, hands-on Shop Foreman to lead our high-output cabinet production team. As our Shop Foreman, you'll oversee daily operations on the shop floor, coordinating projects from office to production to delivery and install. This role requires a proactive leader with a keen understanding of woodworking equipment, cabinet hardware, and field measurements, who can motivate staff, enforce quality, and ensure efficient workflows. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the shop floor crew, ensuring efficient daily operations.
  • Oversee the entire production process, maintaining schedules and quality standards.
  • Prepare jobs for delivery, confirming accuracy and completeness of components.
  • Review orders, coordinating with office staff to verify project details and requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate deliveries and installation staff.
  • Track pickup items and prepare necessary materials before site visits.
  • Perform field verification of measurements to support accurate shop drawings.
  • Maintain effective communication with office and field staff.
  • Ensure all team members are working productively and safely.
  • Monitor quality control on the shop floor.
  • Use email and computer programs for planning and coordination.
  • Reference online specifications and technical data as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and architectural plans.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in a custom cabinet shop or related woodworking environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and architectural drawings.
  • Basic computer literacy (email, internet browsing, document management).
  • Familiarity with woodworking machinery, including Shapers, Planers, Drill Presses, and Horizontal Boring Machines.
  • Ability to set up, maintain, and safely operate woodworking equipment.
  • Competence in assigning tasks and managing staff to enforce SOPs and company policies.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus (not required).
  • Professional, positive attitude with a commitment to motivating and managing a team.

Schedule

  • Full-time: Monday-Friday
  • Flexible options: Tuesday-Friday with four 10-hour shifts or Monday-Friday with five 8-hour shifts.

Work Location:

  • Onsite at Funtime Cabinet Factory's facility.
