Best Building Co. is a premier general contracting company located in Republic, Missouri serving the Springfield area as well as the greater Ozarks region for over 15 years, has an immediate opening for an experienced Skilled Carpenter. In this role, you will work on both residential and commercial projects. Your job duties include reading blueprints to understand the project’s specifications, creating wood fixtures, installing windows and door frames, and repairing wood structures. We do a ton of floor coverings. Engineered wood, 3/4 hardwood floors, tile floors and showers and floating floor systems. Setting cabinets, plumbing and electrical fixtures. We expect candidates to be proficient with industry hand and power tools and familiar with governmental safety regulations. You must have at least seven years of carpentry experience.

Skilled Carpenter Duties And Responsibilities

• Review blueprints to understand the scope of the project
• Fabricate and cut wood components and framework
• Install windows and door frames
• Repair wood structures
• Perform trim and finishing work
• Clean, maintain, and store tools and equipment properly
  
  

Skilled Carpenter Requirements And Qualifications

• Must have own tools
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a vocational carpentry program or apprenticeship
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Proficient with industry hand and power tools
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Flexible schedule
  
  

Competitive pay (90 day probationary period then bump in pay if you are performing at a high level), paid holidays, paid vacation after a year. We're very understanding of family responsibilities.

We wont work any weekends. But possibility of working out of state once or twice a year.
