Job Description

As a member of the Managed Services Engineering team, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about designing, developing, and delivering cloud-native applications. The team operates using Agile principles, planning sprint tasks, and supporting each other to succeed. We use a wide range of tools and technologies including Python, Go, Terraform, New Relic, Salt, and AI tools in a multi-cloud environment (AWS and Azure). Our team is driven to help customers benefit from the products and services Adobe offers.

You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, implementing bold ideas and transforming them into impactful solutions that enhance customer experience. This role involves building scalable, efficient and fault tolerant solutions and providing technical leadership and advocating for excellence in the team.

We are seeking a software engineer with excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills who actively shares knowledge with peers, seeks feedback early, and continually brings ideas on how to improve customer experience, our tech stack and our processes. The successful candidate will thrive on a team where you constantly learn, experiment, and iterate quickly.

What you'll Do

  • Use high level product requirements to design, develop, and test software through taking peer review feedback, and resolving defects. Engage in all aspects of software development activities, including design, coding, code review, unit/integration testing, bug fixing, and code/API documentation.
  • Develop rapid prototypes of innovative ideas and concepts, actively championing discussions about productizing features, adopting new technologies, and enhancing existing products. Drive innovation by thinking from first principles to build innovative solutions.
  • Proactively identify and address technical gaps in current solutions, exploring and validating options with broader customers and partners. Guide the team in implementing solutions that enhance performance, scalability, availability, and security.
  • Demonstrate and apply a deep understanding of software engineering practices, quality standards, and testing procedures. Ensure all code meets high standards, is observable, and is thoroughly unit tested, contributing to a culture of excellence in engineering.
  • Provide technical leadership to solve exciting design and automation challenges, delivering outstanding user experiences across web and various devices.
  • Influence design thinking within development teams, appreciating design-thinking principles and promoting reusable code and consistent user experiences.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent and 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages (preferably Go, Python), cloud and web technologies.
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Relational (MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL datastores (DynamoDB, Snowflake) along with data access patterns and strategies.
  • Experience in building, deploying, and managing infrastructures in public clouds (Azure / AWS)
  • A passion for innovation, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to turn ideas into impactful solutions through rapid experimentation and collaboration with multi-functional teams.
  • Ownership for the entire SDLC, including designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting production microservices in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Nice to have

  • Experience in building and deploying Machine Learning pipelines and applications.
  • JavaScript and TypeScript knowledge with React.
  • Experience developing services in Java Spring Boot framework.
  • Experience with GitOps operational framework using ArgoCD, Helm to manage applications running in Kubernetes.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $113,400 -- $206,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
