A Software Engineer in Fraud Engineering will combine strong engineering fundamentals with platform awareness and operational discipline, supporting mission critical fraud systems in a regulated, high availability environment.

Base Salary: $82,500.00 – $137,500.00
Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.

A Software Engineer in Fraud Engineering will combine strong engineering fundamentals with platform awareness and operational discipline, supporting mission critical fraud systems in a regulated, high availability environment.
Core Technical Skills
- Proficiency in enterprise software development (Java based systems and distributed services)
- Work with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica), APIs, SOAP/REST web services, and message queues to enable reliable, performant data movement.
- Leverage Ansible, Linux shell or Python scripting
- Familiarity with data flows, APIs, messaging, and integrations, including understanding how data enters and exits the fraud platform
- Understanding that production systems are always on and that engineering work directly impacts fraud detection, customer experience, and risk posture.
- Ability to support incident investigation and remediation, including reading logs, analyzing system behavior, and collaborating during production issues.
- Clear communication of technical issues, risks, and progress to teammates and leads, with a bias toward transparency and early escalation.
