Role Summary/Purpose

Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for handling the company’s end to end sourcing operations. Appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending and suppliers.

Essential Responsibilities

• Discover, source, and onboard new vendors or identify alternative suppliers
• Lead the new vendor qualification
• Ensure vendor compliance with PTI’s standards, policies, and requirements
• Build, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors
• Invent negotiation strategies and negotiate vendor pricing to secure profitable deals
• Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes
• Maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Create and optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
• Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
• Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers
• Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Sourcing Specialist or Procurement Specialist
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software
• Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
• Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data
• Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions
• Shop experience preferred
